Wing Commander Abhinandan Bardhaman, who killed Pakistan’s F-16 aircraft on his home, flew past Ghaziabad’s Hindon airbase via a MiG-21 Bison when the entire airbase echoed with applause. On Air Force Day today, Abhinandan was flying with 3 MiG-21 planes. He was led by Vir Chakra winner Abhinandan. As soon as the fly past of Abhinandan was announced, the entire airbase was uprooted by applause.
After the Balakot air strike, Pakistan blatantly tried to violate the Indian airspace and was shot down by Abhinandan when a Pakistani F-16 aircraft was fired. This gallantry of praise was praised all over the world. The MiG-21 Bison in front of the F-16 is considered to be a very old aircraft. During this time, Abhinandan’s plane also crashed and was captured by the Pakistani Army. He was later released after tremendous pressure from India. Abhinandan was awarded the Vir Chakra for this ultimate heroism.
In this program, apart from the MiG aircraft, deadly aircraft like Tejas, Sarang Helicopters, Sukhoi and Globemaster performed in the air. Before the program started, Air Force Chief Rakesh Bhadoria recalled the martyr soldiers in his address, along with various achievements achieved by the Airforce.
