US Court Refuses To Strike Down Work Permits For Spouses Of H1B Visa Workers

Spouses of H-1B visa holders have received temporary relief from a US court. A US court has at present refused to declare a scheme launched during the Obama regime to allow H-1B visa holders to work in the country. This decision of the US court is going to give immediate relief to thousands of Indians living in the country.
The H-1B visa is a non-migrant visa, which allows US companies to hire foreign employees based on expertise. The order was issued in 2015 by then US President Barack Obama, which provides for the permission of certain categories of H-4 visa holders, especially H-1B visa holders waiting for a green card, to live in the US. Especially Indian women got a lot of benefit from this rule.
The current Trump administration had spoken of canceling it for some reasons, which was challenged by many American workers. A three-judge bench in the US Appellate Court for Districts of Columbia Circuit sent the case back to the lower court on Friday.
