Trade differences with the US are narrowing, trade agreements are expected soon. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said this. She said that trade differences between India and the United States were narrowing and that there could be a trade agreement between the two countries soon. Here he told a group of Indian correspondents that I expected an agreement soon. Undoubtedly (differences) are decreasing.
Sitharaman is here to attend the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. He was asked about the status of the ongoing negotiations between India and the US on the trade agreement between the two countries, to which he said that the Finance Ministry is working on it and it is expected that the talks will be completed soon It will be done. I know how deep the negotiations are going on and the matters on which there may be some differences between them are being resolved.
I hope to have an agreement soon. Meanwhile, the US Ministry of Commerce said that in its recent visit to India, US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross had emphasized the move towards a positive direction of trade relations between India and the US.
Ross meet Commerce and Industry Minister and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal. The US Ministry of Commerce reported that he then met Sitharaman and Goyal in bilateral meetings to advance American commercial interests.
