Security tightened outside 2 Taj hotels after bomb threat call from Pakistan

The bomb threat was made for the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Colaba and the Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra. The caller identified himself as a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit, as per the Mumbai police.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place, the two hotels are not operational. Nonetheless, the security has been tightened and the Cyber Cell has been roped in to carry out further investigations. Maharashtra police deployed officer at two Taj hotels after a call was received on the intervening night threatening to blow up the hotels with bombs. The call was traced to Karachi, Pakistan said Mumbai police, with the caller identifying as a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
