Convicts of JNU attack should be punished : Anil

Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor condemned the attack on Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students, saying that the culprits of this incident should be punished. He said that he is indeed very sad and shocked to see what happened to the students on Sunday night. Kapoor said this during the trailer launch of his new film ‘Malang’, where he was also accompanied by co-stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patni and Elli Avram. Apart from this, the directors of the film Mohit Suri and producers Udaya Ranjan, Bhushan Kumar, Ankur Garg and Jay Shewakramani were also present. ‘Malang’ will be released on 7 February.
Anil said, I believe it should be condemned. Everything I saw is quite sad and shocking. This is very disturbing. I did not sleep all night thinking about it. I think you will get nothing from violence and anyone who has done this should be punished. Several Bollywood celebrities including Shabana Azmi, Swara Bhaskar, Anurag Kashyap, Anubhav Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Twinkle Khanna, Ayushman Khurana, Ritesh Deshmukh, Dia Mirza, Vishal Dadlani, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub have also expressed disappointment over the attack.
