Indian Railways has introduced 9 new service trains in 8 states of India to provide better travel opportunities for railway passengers traveling to nearby towns and cities for livelihood and educational purposes.
Minister of Railways and Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, Health and Family Welfare, Minister of Science and Technology and Geology, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan at a function organized at New Delhi Railway Station in Delhi-Shamli Flagged off the inaugural journey of the railway service.
Simultaneously, inauguration trips of such rail services in other 6 states were flagged off at different places through video conferencing. On this occasion, members of Railway Board, General Manager of Northern Railway, Railway Manager of Delhi Division and several senior officials of Railway Board and Northern Railway were present on the occasion.
