The politics of the RSS’s Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat’s statement of India Hindu Rashtra, which reached the top meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Bhubaneswar, has warmed to politics. Bhagwat’s statement has been targeted by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi. On Bhagwat describing India as a Hindu nation, Owaisi said that India was never be a ‘Hindu’ nation and never will be. Owaisi tweeted on Sunday, “Bhagwat cannot erase my history here by writing Hindu names.” It will not work. He cannot say that our culture, reverence and identity are linked to Hindus.
