As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, temperature in Gujarat state is likely to soar further in next 2-3 days, as summer season sets in.
In Ahmedabad the maximum temperature recorded id 32.5°Cs, which was 1.7°C higher than the normal. Minimum temperature of 14.2°C was 0.5°C lower than the normal for the city. On Wednesday, the temperature is likely to remain around 14 degrees, mentioned forecast.
As per experts view the winter season has almost got over with the rise in day temperature. With rise in minimum temperature above 17°C, summer will set in soon. The northerly to north-easterly winds would not help reducing the soaring temperature, said IMD officials.
Surendranagar with 34.2°C as maximum temperature was the hottest weather station, followed by 34°C in Bhuj and Valsad. Minimum temperature across the state was above11°C.
