With a view to offer benefits and assistances to the farmers’ of Gujarat under the various agri-welfare schemes on the forthcoming Birthday of Bharat Ratna Awardee Late Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25th, 2020, ‘Good Governance Day’, Gujarat Government will organize ‘Farmer Welfare Programmes’ at all 248 taluka headquarters of the state.
With an aim to achieve the target of doubling the farmers’ income by year-2022 through holistic upliftment of farmers and agricultural development set by Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani has initiated ‘Saat Pagla Khedut Kalyan Yojna’, a beneficiary scheme for the farmers, in Gujarat.
To realize the slogan ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan’ given by the former prime minister late Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani, through a video conference from Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, will give simultaneous guidance to the beneficiary farmers who will remain present at all the 248 taluka headquarters.
Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel will attend this programme at Mehsana, while other cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs and official, and chairman of various boards and nigams will remain present at 248 taluka headquarters to participate in these programmes.
With an objective to offer benefits to the marginal farmers for their economical upliftment and development under the ‘Saat Pagla Khedut Kalyan’ scheme, the Chief Minister has under taken initiative to provide latest farm equipments to the farm-labourers and others.
Mr. Rupani is committed to ‘Good Governance’ for achieving farm prosperity for prosperity of villages and their culture which will ultimately lead to prosperity of city, state and nation.
In addition to these, the Chief Minister will gift many more benefits in the form of equipments and assistance to the farmers of Gujarat on the birthday of late Mr. Vajpayee.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister will also offer assistance worth of Rs. 48-crore to over 1-lakh farmers who are making cow based organic farming. And, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanmaan Nidhi, 51.34 lakh farmer families of Gujarat would be paid Rs. 1027-Cr through DBT.
Beside these, Mr. Rupani will also offer many other benefits and assistances to the marginal farmers, animal breeders and poor people on this day.
