Adopting an approach of quick clearance of DPs with determination of well-planned growth of metro cities and urban areas of the state, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today granted permission for Draft Development Plan-2035 (DDP-2035) of Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA) for the diamond city, Surat.
With the clearance of this development plan nearly 850 hectares land area would be available for the development.
Taking into consideration the objections and suggestions made against the notifications for the reservation land in November-2019 and for non-reservation land in January-2019 for the plan sent by the SUDA for the sanction, the Chief Minister finalising the preliminary notification of the SUDA, granted a final approval to the DP.
Following the clearance of the DP, the land area of 1 km, on both sides, along the 50 km long stretch between Kamrej and Palsana on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai national highway would be available for the residential and commercial developments.
The clearance to significant projects like Kamrej-Palsana corridor, Antroli High-speed corridor, would open-up new horizons for ‘Bullet Train’, ‘Metro Railway’, and transport facilities.
The proposed industrial growth corridor suggested in the development plant, in view of the industrial development happening in Hazira area, would give boost for the well plan industrial developments in this region. Not only this, it would open-up new employment opportunities and give boost to the economy of the city.
It is essential to point out here that in the new zoning area, in particular in high-density corridor, TP schemes would be planned out on priority basis. As a result the well planned facilities would be provided along with infrastructural amenities.
