CM lays foundation stone of underground sewerage project works worth Rs.70 crore and dedicates various other development projects in newly created Arvalli district through video conferencing

Gandhinagar, Monday:  Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani  laid foundation stone of  underground sewerage project works worth Rs.70 crore in newly created Arvalli district through video conferencing from Gandhinagar. On this occasion he clearly stated that the state government is committed to underground sewerage scheme, sewage treatment plant and 100% ‘Nal Se Jal’ in all the municipalities of the state.

In this context, he said that with more than 45% of the population living in urban areas in the state, our cities have become modern and basic facilities like light, water, sewerage, roads have also been developed to make all these system robust and easy.

On this occasion Chief Minister also concluded various public project dedication-lay foundation stone ceremonies of projects worth Rs.92.75 crore which mainly includes 124 km. long underground sewerage line project worth Rs.69.84 crore through video conferencing.

Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani made it clear that State Government is not only working with the mantra of ‘jya manvi, tya suvidha’, but also committed to extend benefits of development to all citizens living in remote areas in the state.

“Even in the midst of the Corona pandemic times, we have not let the pace of development work stop,” he said. With the goal of ‘Na Rukna Hai, Na Zukna Hai’, e-Lokarpan-e-Khatmuhurt(e-foundation stone and e-inauguration) works worth Rs 11,000 crore have been done even in Corona transmission period.

Shri Vijaybhai Rupani also inaugurated a 138 rooms Boys Hostel constructed at a cost of Rs. 18 crore, various office buildings and building of animal husbandry department worth Rs.1.20 crore along with an underground sewerage project in Arvalli.

Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to provide adequate water, electricity, crop insurance assistance to the farmers of the state and state-of-the-art equipment in the animal husbandry business by making animal husbandry equivalent to agriculture.

On this occasion Water Supply and Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Kunwarjibhai Bawaliya from Rajkot as well as MP Shri Dipsinhji Rathod and district office bearers were present from Modasa through video conference.
