Union Home Minister Amit Shah e-dedicates and e-launches development projects worth Rs.221-crore for Ahmedabad city and district

Union Home Minister Amit Shah who represents Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat today e-dedicated and e-launched development projects worth Rs.221-crore, including Rs.176-crore for Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Rs.45-crore for Ahmedabad’s rural areas.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Gujarat has engraved new landmark in the entire nation in the matter of e-launching and e-laying stones of new development projects despite prevailing situation. Gujarat did not allow the pace of development to slow down. Electricity consumption, industrial production, exports and startup statistics show that Gujarat is in the forefront in the nation in retruning to normalcy at the time of Unlock period, too.

Mr. Shah said that Gujarat has set an unique example even for the developed countries as to how to return to normal life with people’s cooperation. It is extremely laudable for Gujarat to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Jaan bhi; Jahan bhi’ to 130 crore people to return to normalcy.

The Union Minister lauded the leadership of  Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel in excellent performance in every situation. He exuded confidence the projects for which he performed ground breaking ceremony will be completed in time.

Taking part in the programme through video conference, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani expressed happiness over that even during the difficult times of Corona pandemic Gujarat has continued its upward surge of the developmental works.

The Chief Minister said that rather than getting pessimists because of prevalent pandemic of Corona, Gujarat has developed a new lifestyle to live with handling the adversities of the Corona.

Mr. Rupani further lauded that during the four months long period of Corona transition, Gujarat has regained its developmental path with E-launching and E-dedication to the people with developmental works worth over Rs 10,000-Crore.

In support of his claims, the Chief Minister pointed out that compared to electricity consumption of September last year, in September this year it  has  shown an increase of 6%; which is an evident that trade, industry and business have bounce-backed with greater intensity in Gujarat.

For carrying out the uninterrupted continuation of the developmental works, the state government has given sum of Rs. 1065-Cr to the towns-metropolises “at one click” digitally.

Mr. Rupani also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Shah for gifting developmental works to Bavla-Sanand and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

The Chief Minister categorically stated that through holistic development of rural as well as urban region the villages have been provided all the amenities while cities have been made at par with world standard. Following the path of constant growth set up by Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi, Gujarat has continued its upward journey of the development, he firmly added.

The works included Rs.130.91-crore pipeline network to carry water from Vaishnavdevi Circle overhead circle to Shantipura Circle to Sarkhej along Ring Road, Rs.15.02-crore new water distribution station near APMC Yard in south-west zone in Maktampura ward, Rs.24.99-crore water distribution station near Makarba Police Lines in Sarkhej ward and Rs.5.26-crore Chharodi village talav.

Other works include Rs.17-crore housing 240 units under Bavla Nagarpalika under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, Rs.20 lakh for tractor for solid waste disposal for Mankol and Modasar villages and Rs.1.08-crore classrooms under Sarva Shikshan Abhiyan.   

Other works include 240 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at Bavla Nagarpalika in Ahmedabad district at a cost of Rs. 1700-lakh, assistance  of Rs. 20-lakh for tractor and disposal of solid-waste at Mankol and Modasar villages, construction of 12 class-rooms under Sarv Siksha Abhiyaan at a cost of Rs. 108-lakh, 59 developmental works under Pradhan Mantri Agricultural Irrigation Schemes at a cost of Rs. 123-L, community hall at Mankol Chowkdi at a cost of Rs. 25-L, and under the Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana road construction in Bavla and Sanand tehsils.

Those who spoke on the occasion also included, Ahmedabad City Mayor Mrs. Bijalben Patel. 

The event was also graced by MLAs – Mr. Babubhai Patel, Mr. Bhupendrabhai Patel, Mr. Arvindbhai Patel, Mr. Kishorebhai Chauhan, and Mr. Kanubhai Patel, AMC Municipal Commissioner Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Ahmedabad Collector Mr. Sandip Sagle, chairman of various committees and others.
