Turkey’s earthquake on Friday has caused heavy destruction. This natural disaster died 14 people and injured more than 200 people. The earthquake has a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter scale. About 10 buildings were destroyed by the earthquake. The maximum damage has been done in the eastern Cureng province.
Government officials say relief rescue operations are being carried out in the affected areas and the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, the condition of two of the injured is very serious.
The tremors were felt 15 times during the earthquake and it caused panic among the people. Earthquake tremors were also felt in Turkey’s neighboring countries of Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. However, there is no news of loss in these countries.
