Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) leader Ajit Pawar has filed an affidavit in the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court. Pawar has filed this affidavit for the purpose of quashing a petition filed against him in the irrigation scam.
The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Maharashtra has freed Ajit Pawar from charges in the irrigation scam. According to the affidavit submitted to the Bombay High Court on November 27, Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation (VIDC) chairman Ajit Pawar cannot be held responsible for the actions of executive agencies, as he has no statutory obligation.
