Gujarat Govt and shipping ministry grants Surat-Mumbai ferry service operations from Hazira

Gujarat Government and shipping ministry has granted permissions to operate cruise vessel between Surat and Mumbai ports. Surat-Mumbai ferry service will start its operations from Hazira by Mumbai-based SSR Marine Services. Sanjeev Aagarwal, chief executive officer of the company, told to media sources that “The vessel has left from Mumbai and we will start operations between Surat and Mumbai from Friday 15 Nov 2019.”
He said the vessel will be berthed at a private shipping company’s jetty in Hazira. The ferry will depart from Bandra Worli sealink every Thursday around 5pm and arrive at Hazira on Friday at 9am. The same vessel will depart from Hazira on Friday at 5pm to reach Bandra Worli sealink at 9am on Saturday.
“Unlike other ferries, this is a leisure vessel where passengers will have fun and party whole night. We have kept evening timings for departure from both the ports so that people can enjoy whole night” said Aagarwal.
