In a statement, DMK President MK Stalin has alleged that Tamilnadu state police did not present the case in a proper manner in the Madras high court as they were under pressure from people behind the scene. The high court quashed the case on Friday against N Sabarirajan and K Thirunavukkarasu. “There are several rules and steps under which the two must have been arrested under the Goondas Act. But the state police did not follow the rules due to pressure from the AIADMK government,” said Stalin.
Stalin also accused the AIADMK government of allowing the two main accused in the Pollachi sexual assault case to escape arrest under the stringent Goondas Act. Now the two can come out in bail. “Action must be taken against the police officials and also against those who are working behind the scene. The two must get the deserving punishment,” said Stalin.
