Union cabinet has approved 5 per cent additional DA/DR for central government employees over the existing rate of 12 per cent of the basic pay/pension due from July, 2019. This was announced by Union information and broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar after the cabinet decision. Javadekar said that the cabinet has also approved that 5,300 displaced Kashmiri families from Jammu and Kashmir would be provided Rs 5.5 Lakh each. Besides this 40,000 more wellness centers to be set up under Ayushman Bharat scheme.Cabinet has also decided to relax the mandatory requirement of Aadhaar seeding for release of benefits under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi after August 1, 2019 for up to November 30, 2019.
