Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Chennai to attend the convocation ceremony of IIT Madras, said that I have come to Tamil Nadu for the first time after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. At the Chennai airport, PM Modi said, for the first time after the elections, I am in your state. It is always a pleasure to come to Chennai. Thank you for the warm welcome.
Addressing the people, the Prime Minister said, “I trust everyone here, especially our visitors from Singapore would have enjoyed Chennai.” My young colleagues here have solved many problems. I particularly liked the solution taken with the camera to find out who was paying attention. I will talk to my Speaker in Parliament. I am confident that it will be useful for the Parliament. Before reaching Chennai, Prime Minister Modi said, I am always very happy to come to Chennai. I am grateful to all of you for this warm welcome. He said that the world has great expectations from India and his government will take the country on the path of greatness. This is his first visit to Tamil Nadu after coming back to power.
Arriving here, he repeated his campaign against single-use plastic. Also said that the task of making India great is not only the work of the central government but also of 130 crore countrymen. The Prime Minister said, during my recent visit to America I saw that the world has great expectations from India. Which are constantly increasing. We will definitely ensure the welfare of India at a rapid pace. We will make it such a great nation that it will prove useful to the world.
