INX Media Case, Former finance minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram has received a major setback from the Supreme Court. His anticipatory bail petition has been dismissed in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has refused to grant P. Chidambaram anticipatory bail. In such a situation, now the Enforcement Directorate (ED) can arrest them anytime. It is being said that he can be arrested this afternoon. The Supreme Court said that if the accused is granted anticipatory bail at this time, the investigation will be affected.
The Supreme Court said that whatever documents the ED has obtained, there is no need to show Chidambaram. The court also said that under Article 32, anticipatory bail cannot be a fundamental right of anyone.
