Former Maharashtra minister and Congress MLA Abdul Sattar joins Shiv Sena

In the politics of Maharashtra, the Congress and NCP leaders have not stopped the process of joining the BJP-Shiv Sena. Now former Maharashtra minister and Congress MLA Abdul Sattar has joined the Shiv Sena. Sattar, who represented the Sillod assembly seat in Aurangabad district, joined the party in his presence at Matoshree, the residence of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.
Abdul Sattar resigned from the membership of the assembly as a Congress MLA before the general elections held this year and helped the BJP’s state unit chief, Raosaheb Danve, win the Jalna Lok Sabha seat. Sillod assembly constituency comes under Jalna parliamentary constituency.
Sattar was the animal husbandry minister in the previous Congress-NCP coalition government. After Sattar was inducted into the Shiv Sena, Thackeray indicated that he could be given a party ticket in the upcoming assembly elections. Uddhav told reporters, I would like to see Shiv Sena winning from Sillod assembly constituency. This is an important seat for us. In recent weeks, many leaders of Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have joined either BJP or Shiv Sena. Assembly elections are due in Maharashtra next month.
