CBI has recorded statement of Unnao rape victim in road accident case, Officials gave this information. The Unnao rape victim, who was seriously injured in road accident, was brought to AIIMS for treatment by plane from King George Medical University, Lucknow.
Officials said his condition was improving and she was taken to the ward. He said that after the condition improved, CBI recorded the victim’s statement. This statement has been recorded in a road accident case in which two of his relatives died and she and his lawyer were seriously injured.
The victim, who hails from Unnao, alleges that she was raped by Uttar Pradesh MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in 2017. She was a minor then. Sengar was expelled from the BJP last month. The victim’s uncle has accused Sanger’s close friends in a road accident. Officials said the victim’s lawyer is still in critical condition and is in the ICU. Because of which his statement could not be recorded. On 28th July, in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, a truck hit the victim’s car heavily, killing two of their relatives and injuring their lawyer.
One of the accused in the case has asked the Supreme Court to extend the time of the trial. He says that no time is being given for cross examination of the statements of the witnesses and that the trial seems inappropriate. Also, the Supreme Court has asked the trial court judge to give a report on the ongoing trial in the case. The next hearing in the case will be on 6th September.
