Supreme Court of India heard the petition of Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram challenging the decision of the Delhi High Court. The court said that Chidambaram should go to the concerned court to seek interim protection. The court asked the trial court to consider the pre-finance interim bail plea in the INX Media corruption case. He also ordered that he not be sent to Tihar Jail and extended his CBI custody for five September if the lower court rejects his bail plea.
