Ex Indian cricket team captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly was admitted to a hospital in his hometown Kolkata on Saturday with a “mild cardiac arrest”.
Ganguly complained of dizziness after a workout session at the gymnasium on Saturday morning and was rushed to the Woodlands Hospital where findings of a “mild cardiac arrest” came up. He is scheduled to undergo further tests along with angioplasty.
Media sources quoted a hospital official saying, “He is stable now. We are checking whether this pain is due to some cardiac problem or not. He requires to undergo several tests.” The state chief minister Mamata Banerjee also tweeted about the development, wishing Ganguly a “speedy recovery”.
