Today from Gandhinagar, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani made e-unveiling of statue of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratan awardee Late Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and E-lokarpan of various developmental works, worth of Rs. 42-Crore, done by Anand Nagarpalika in Anand town.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister termed the dedication of Atalji towards the nation as a great source of inspiration for the present-day young generation.
The developmental projects dedicated to the citizens included two STP plants for purifying the drainage waters and Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Shelter Home for homeless poor.
Mr. Rupani recalled that the lectures, speeches, poetries and addresses at the Parliament delivered by Atalji were fully filled with patriotism, love and respect for the nation. They have become a source of guidance forever for the young generations.
Mr. Rupani also praised the Anand Nagarpalika for continuing its developmental works even during the difficult times of Corona pandemic. He also highlighted the civil amenities works such as drainage, lights, drinking waters, roads and others being developed at cities and towns across the state. The event was also attended by Member of Parliament (Anand), President of Anand Nagarpalika, officials of the nagar seva sadan and others.
