Denying rumours that the Congress party in Karnataka are in talks with their former coalition partner Janata Dal (Secular), Congress Legislative Party leader Siddarmaiah Wednesday said that the party will contest the polls on its own.
‘Congress is a national party and we have the strength to contest elections on our own,’ he said in Bengaluru. Byelections to two assembly constituencies in Karnataka — Sira (Tumkur) and Rajarajeshwari Nagar (Bengaluru) are scheduled to be held on November 3.
