RComm lenders reject resignation of Anil Ambani & 4 others directors

Reliance Communications lenders have rejected the resignation of Anil Ambani and four others from the company. Lenders have asked him to cooperate in the insolvency process. On 16th November, Anil Ambani resigned as the director of Reliance Communications after a huge loss of Rs 30,142 crore in the second quarter. Anil Ambani as well as Chhaya Virani, Rayna Karani, Manjari Kaikar and Suresh Rangachar resigned as directors.
In the information submitted to BSE, it has been said on behalf of RComm that the Committee of Creditors (CoC) unanimously rejected the resignation of Anil Ambani and four other directors in a meeting held on the 20th. All the directors were asked to continue to discharge their responsibilities as before and help in every way possible in the smooth functioning of the bankruptcy process.
The company incurred a loss of about Rs 30,142 crore in the second quarter following the Supreme Court order on the telecom dues. This is the second highest loss in a quarter in telecom history. Voda Idea suffered the biggest loss of Rs 50,921 crore in the September quarter.
