Kamal Haasan support Rajinikanth’s claim, said- no good leaders left

The entry of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan into the politics of Tamil Nadu is seen as being linked to political vacuum in the state. After the demise of Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi, the politics of the state seems to be taking a new turn. Meanwhile, actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan has backed superstar Rajinikanth’s claim on the political vacuum in the state. DMK Chief M. K. Stalin’s brother Alagiri has also vindicated Rajinikanth’s statement.
Makkal Needhi Maiam founder Kamal Haasan said in a media interaction at Chennai Airport, “We have no one left to give good leadership. No one can deny that earlier we had good leaders but I say that there is no such person now. ‘
Hassan targeted the Chief Minister’s Palaniswami. Haasan said, ‘They are expressing their wishes. Everyone has the right to express his wishes. In fact, Palaniswami had said that Haasan’s political career would end.
Last week, Rajinikanth said that the state is in great need of a strong leadership. His statement was opposed by both the ruling AIADMK and the opposition DMK. CM Palanisamy said that Rajinikanth is only an actor, not a politician, while DMK leader Durai Murugan said that his party’s president M. K. Stalin has already filled this void.
Meanwhile, his elder brother M. K. Alagiri, who has separated from Stalin, has also come out in support of Rajinikanth’s claim. On Thursday, Alagiri said that there is a political void in Tamil Nadu, which actors can fill in by entering politics. Alagiri, however, did not answer any question whether he would join Rajinikanth if he formed a political party. When asked about Rajinikanth’s recent statement that leadership in Tamil Nadu is nothingness, Alagiri said, “What he has said is true, what else can I say.”
It is believed that Rajinikanth may form his political party before the 2021 assembly elections. After the demise of Jayalalithaa in 2016 and Karunanidhi in 2018, Rajinikanth spoke of political vacuum in the state. Last week, speculation of close association with the BJP was dismissed by the superstar. Rajni was asked if BJP leader P Radhakrishnan invited him to join the BJP. On this, he said that I am trying to paint the BJP. Like Thiruvalluvar (Tamil poet) I am also being tried to paint saffron but neither I will get stuck in it nor Thiruvalluvar.
