Is the Janata Dal (United) in Bihar next to be dumped by the BJP?

After the three-decade old ally Shiv Sena of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) being allowed to let go to join the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to form the government in Maharashtra even at the cost of losing a state government and another ally All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) parting ways, one of the important ally Janata Dal (United) is not only very apprehensive but jittery about the future of its alliance with the BJP in Bihar as the party is apparently planning to dump every recalcitrant ally.

Sources said that things are not well between the BJP and JD (U) in Bihar as leaders from both sides apprehensive about each other and their relations has touched its nadir. The fissure might appear at the time of Assembly elections but relations are not very smooth at the moment.

The BJP might have conceded 50:50 formula during the Lok Sabha elections but the scenario for Assembly elections will not only be different but the BJP would also wants to get rid of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar who, sources said, of late appears to be more of a burden than an asset.
