Sidhu again writes letter to MEA seeks permission for visit Pakistan

Former Cabinet Minister Navjot Sidhu has once again written to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) seeking permission to visit Pakistan. In a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Sidhu has said that he has already sent a copy of the invitation received by Imran Khan to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Sidhu said that Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been invited to attend the opening ceremony of Kartarpur Sahib road in Pakistan on 9th November, so he should be allowed to visit Pakistan. Let me tell you that even before this, Navjot Sidhu had written to the Ministry of External Affairs and to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, asking for permission to visit Pakistan. After this, a copy of the invitation sent by Sidhu to the Ministry of External Affairs from Imran Khan was also sent. However, Sidhu has not yet been allowed to visit Pakistan. The Ministry of External Affairs had said that those people who have been invited by Pakistan for the inauguration ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor, would have to get official approval to go there. The Foreign Ministry made this statement after Pakistan invited Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu to the opening ceremony of the Kartarpur Corridor. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar said in this regard that if Navjot Singh Sidhu’s name is in the list of pilgrims going for the inauguration of Kartarpur, then as a political figure or invitee, one needs to take clearance.
