For responding to a plea moved by Jayalalithaa’s legal heir and niece J Deepa, who has filed a civil suit to restrain them from releasing the films without her consent. Madras High Court has sent notice to three filmmakers who have announced making of films and web series based on the life of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa. “Jayalalithaa’s life story cannot be filmed without adding my life as part of the film,” said Deepa, who claimed that her privacy would be infringed in the absence of her consent.
Jayalalitha is a great political personality and her life story cannot be filmed without adding my life as part of the film. In such an event, the same would amount to interference of my privacy, Deepa said in her civil suit.
According to Deepa, film director Vijay along with Induri have announced production of a film titled ‘Thalaivi’ based on the life of her aunt. This apart, Menon has also announced that he would be producing a web series on the life of Jayalalithaa.
