President Kovind leaves today on state visit to Philippine and Japan for 7-day

President Ramnath Kovind leaves for a Philippine state visit on Thursday from where he will travel to Japan and participate in the coronation ceremony of Naresh Naruhito. The President gave this information by tweeting. The President’s tweet states that he left for a Philippine state visit. This is the first Philippine visit of the President of India in the last 13 years. It states that after this the President will go to Japan and take part in the coronation ceremony of Emperor Naruhito.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, President Ram Nath Kovind will be visiting Philippine and Japan from 17th to 23rd October. While giving this information on Wednesday, Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs, Vijay Thakur Singh said that President Kovind is going to visit Philippine from 17 to 21 October and he is scheduled to visit Japan from 21st to 23rd October. Singh said, the purpose of the Philippine visit is to advance high-level connectivity. The ministry says that Philippine is an important ally of India in ASEAN and India’s relations with it are friendly.
There is a shared values-based cooperation between the two countries and economic ties between them are growing. A salute guard will be presented to President Kovind in the Philippine and there will be a face-to-face meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte. The President will unveil the bust of Mahatma Gandhi there. He will also interact with the people of the Indian community. President Kovind will travel from Manila to Tokyo on 21st October, where he will take part in the coronation ceremony of Emperor Naruhito. The President will also visit the Buddhist temple there.
