Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya who is seeking votes in Maharashtra for this month’s Maharashtra Assembly elections. He said that voting for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would mean the atomic bomb on Pakistan fall automatically. Maurya, while campaigning for BJP candidate Narendra Mehta in Mira Bhayandar constituency in Thane, said if people press the lotus symbol, it would mean that the atomic bomb on Pakistan has automatically fallen.
Please vote for BJP and make our party our candidate once again. State of Maharashtra, I believe that the lotus will blossom in the upcoming elections. Tensions between India and Pakistan have reached a climax following the Centre’s decision to snatch Jammu and Kashmir of its special status provided under Article 370 of the Constitution and convert it into two union territories. In his rally, Maurya also targeted the opposition parties and said that the violation of Article 370 was possible due to the “flower lotus”.
Goddess Lakshmi does not sit on a palm, bicycle or watch, but she sits on a lotus. Article 370 was abolished due to the floral lotus. Lotus is a symbol of development. Assembly elections in the states of Maharashtra and Haryana are scheduled on 21st October. The counting of votes will take place on 24th October.
