National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval arrived here to take stock of the situation in Kashmir Valley. He will also set the outline for smooth implementation of government schemes after Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh became union territories on 31st October. It is not yet known how long he will live in the valley.
After announcing the abolition of the special status of the state, Doval had camped in the valley for 11 days. After the decision of the government, the NSA visited from the down town of Srinagar to the terrorism-affected Shopian district of South Kashmir, so that no untoward situation arises and the trust of the government remains with the people.
