The biggest obstacle to connect Kashmir with the mainstream of development had been Article 370 and 35 A and previous governments acted only to mislead people of Kashmir and the country for political selfishness. This has been the view of BJP leaders who are meeting eminent people for its outreach programme.
After meeting Justice (rtd) RS Sodhi and Padmashri Pratibha Prahlada at their residence in the Vyapak Jansampark and Jan Jagran Abhiyaan of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Union Minister Smriti Irani said, “The main objective of this meeting is to bring the benefit of the general public from the removal of Article 370 and 35 A related to Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people through public awareness.”
Irani said that Kashmir had become a question for every Indian. People felt that peace would never prevail in the Valley and with the formation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government in 2014, all the methods of solving the Kashmir problem were adopted, but everything used to end by coming to Article 370 and 35 A. In order to simplify and facilitate the unity, integrity of the country and the overall development of Kashmir, the Modi government has taken a historical decision and abolished Articles 370 and 35A from Jammu-Kashmir, which was impossible for all till date but Modi government has made it possible.
This historic decision of the Prime Minister has got the support of 130 crore people and a message has gone to the world. “We are meeting the eminent people of the society to spread the benefit to the general public as a public awareness and every person’s positive attitude stands with the decision of the government, she said.
