US space company Boeing handed over the 11th C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft to the Indian Air Force, increasing the Air Force’s tactical air transport capability. The company said in a statement, “Boeing today handed over the 11th C-17 Globemaster III to India, which will enhance India’s ability to meet current and future strategic airlift requirements. The C-17’s fleet has been an important part of the Indian Air Force’s tactical and combat aircraft capability.
Since joining Sky Lords Squadron in 2013, aircraft in the Indian Air Force’s C-17 fleet have carried out a number of operations under military operations and provide peacekeeping, humanitarian aid and disaster relief in India and internationally.
