Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan has said the party will start playing its role as an opposition after giving the YSR Congress (YSRC) new government of Andhra Pradesh at least 100 days to get its act together and work for state.
Addressing a press conference JSP chief said it would not be fair to attack the government till then as there would be some sensitive matters which should not be politicised. The Special Category Status (SCS) was one such issue on which JSP would not make hasty comments at this juncture. But, when the time comes, it would not spare any effort to achieve SCS.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan said the State government should explain on what basis it gave away properties in Hyderabad owned by Andhra Pradesh government to Telangana. Similarly, the government, while demolishing the ‘Praja Vedika’ on the ground that it has no mandatory clearances, should treat all such illegal structures equally as ‘a rule is supposed to be a rule for all’.
The JSP had extended issue-based support to the TDP government, he recalled and affirmed that in dealing with its successor, it (JSP) would fight against any injustices and lapses in implementing welfare and development schemes.
