Birmingham South Africa opener Hashim Amla on Wednesday became the second fastest cricketer to complete 8000 runs in one-day international cricket in the ongoing World Cup 2019 match against New Zealand in Birmingham. Hashim Amla needed 24 runs before the start of the match to reach the landmark. He had the chance to become the joint-fastest to achieve the feat in South Africa’s last match against Afghanistan
