Watercolour Exhibition ‘Studies-III’ by students of DPS Bopal

The Fine Arts Club at Delhi Public School-Bopal has organized a three day exhibition of watercolours – ‘Studies-III’ at Naman Art Gallery in the city. The work displayed at the exhibition is created by students and teachers, as part of the culmination of a 3 day workshop conducted by Shri Mayur Mistry, an award winning watercolourist. The exhibition was inaugurated today by Shri Manan Relia, Director, Archer Art Gallery.
During The three day workshop conducted by Shri Mistry at DPS-Bopal Campus, the participants were introduced to various techniques of watercolour. And then using wash technique, a painting depicting an urban landscape on a rainy day was made. One session was held in the rustic environs of Vechaar-Vishalla Environmental Centre for Heritage of Art, Architecture and Research, where participants were given a demo on the basic colour palette to capture the rustic village environment followed by the students exploring the subject through their paintings. The last day of the session was held at Lambapada ni Pol, Raipur Darwaja in which the students captured the heritage structures of the old city with great enthusiasm.
Around 40 paintings made by 26 students & 10 teachers of DPS-Bopal will be exhibited for public view in a show titled ‘Studies-III’ at Naman Art Gallery, Ahmedabad from 29 November 2018 to 1 December 2018.
