Every New Year’s Eve, it’s common sight for people to have an enjoyable evening. In every party one is sure to find food, music, dance, games, laughter and fun but at Hare Krishna Mandir, Bhadaj’s “Transcendental New Year Program” there was something more one could sense-the air was filled with the blessings of Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhav as the New Year was ushered in. With an awesome Temple Hall bedecked with beautiful lighting and stage decorations, the ambience was most welcoming.
The event started off with spiritual theme games and Hare Krishna Mantra Kirtans. There were over 10000 attendees consisting of families, friends, devotees and Patrons who had decided to bring in 2018 with a difference! The crowd was anxious for the Transcendental Home Game, a special Musical Chair designed based on the 84 Lakh species that soul would go through, to begin. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the game. It was time to sit back and enjoy some lively dance performances by a group of devotees. The evening was marked by the Drama ‘Destination Vaikunta’, presented by the devotees of the Hare Krishna Mandir. This was followed by a Dance Drama on Glorious Pastimes of Lord Krishna as described in Srimad Bhagavatam by JG College of Performing Arts & the most awaited event of the Eve, a Bhajan performance by temples Mantra Rock Band set to Rock Music. For the first time in its History, Hare Krishna Mandir, Bhadaj hosted ‘Food Festival’ for the first time at its temple with exotic cuisines & recipes. By now, the clock was preparing to strike midnight the crowd then got on their feet and were set singing and dancing to the Hare Krishna maha mantra by the Devotees of the Temple.
