A Gramin Gujarat Nirman gathering is going to be organized under the Swachch Bharat Mission ( Gramin) at Porbandar on Gandhi Jayanti, the 2nd October, 2017 in the presence of the President of India Mr. Ram Nath Kovind. Governor of Gujarat Mr. O.P Kohli and Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani will also be present along with the President.
19 districts of the state have acquired the topmost position in the ‘Rashtriya Swachchata Darpan’ competition organized under Mahatma Gandhi Swachch Bharat Mission (Gramin). 33 districts, 247 talukas and 14,060 Gram Panchayats of the state have been declared as Open Defecation Free.
Minister of Water Supply, Animal Husbandry and Cow Breeding, Fisheries, Civil Aviation, Salt Industry Mr. Babubhai Bokhiriya, Minister of State for Panchayat, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department Mr. Jayantibhai Kavadiya and M.P Mr. Viththalbhai Radadiya along with Principal Secretary of Urban Development Department Ms. Mona Khandhar will be present at Kirti Mandir in Porbandar where the program will start at 10:30 am.
