PM Modi hails ‘Nari Shakti’ in his address to Indian Diaspora in The Hague  

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the Indian diaspora, in Sportcampus Zuiderpark at The Hague. The community programme that PM Modi addressed was also attended by the mayor of The Hague. PM Modi had begun his address at the Indian community saying, “Kaa haal baa.” In his address, PM Modi reminded that Indian community in Netherlands that it is important to stay connected to our roots as it gives us immense strength.  PM Modi even mentioned that change in the colour of the passport does not change blood relations. “Netherlands is the country which has second largest Indian Diaspora”, said PM Narendra Modi. PM Modi said that every Indian should be proud of the fact the India is a land of diversity which has 100 languages and more than 1700 dialects. PM Narendra Modi called the Diaspora as the ‘Rashtradoots’.

“Alone development or good governance cannot fulfil aspirations, a combination of both is required, PM Modi added. During the address, PM Narendra Modi talked about the empowerment of women in the country. PM Modi said,”The role of women in the agriculture sector, cooperatives is very important. India’s Nari Shakti is contributing to India’s progress.” PM Modi said, “The India of the 21st century cannot stay behind when it comes to technology and infrastructure. Everything we have must be world class.” “I was surprised to know that even after presence of large Indian diaspora here, only 10% percent people have OCI card,” said PM Modi.
