Shimron Hetmyer and Evin Lewis have not been included in the West Indies ODI squad selected for the tour of Sri Lanka after failing fitness tests. According to a statement by Cricket West Indies, Hetmyer and Lewis, who are in good form, did not meet the minimum fitness test. Top order batsman Darren Bravo has returned after performing brilliantly in domestic cricket.
Also Rovman Powell has also been successful in making a comeback in the team. Fabian Allen, who could not travel to India due to knee injury, has also been included in the team for the tour of Sri Lanka. Veteran all-rounder Kieron Pollard will captain the team, while Shai Hope has the responsibility of wicketkeeping.
