Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb has decided to donate his next six months’ salary to 1100 village market committees of Tripura to install 8 to 10 dustbins in every village market to make Tripura a garbage free state.
Sources in the government told GNS news that the CM himself is monitoring the entire cleanliness drive in the state and does not want any stone left upturned to make this drive a success.
The state is celebrating the week in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday falls as SevaSaptah. The government is appealing and requesting everyone including clubs, social organizations and NGOs to put dustbins in the areas where they are required to maintain cleanliness of the state.
