Senior leader of TDP Revuri Prakash Reddy joined the BJP in New Delhi in the presence of its national president J.P. Nadda. Mr. Reddy said the ruling TRS is working against its agenda of securing self-respect, funds, water and jobs to Telangana people. “It miserably failed to deliver its promises and is now working against its own agenda. The Congress also failed to stand up to the expectations of people in the State,” he pointed out.
Mr. Reddy said he is proud to be part of separate Telangana movement, and that despite being in TDP, he played a key role in convincing the party leadership to support the separate Telangana cause. By joining BJP, he said he would be with people and strive to fulfil their aspirations. “I do not harbour any ill-will against any political party or leaders. My agenda is to be with people and work for them,” Mr. Reddy said.
