Haryana Steelers defeated Bengal Warriors by 36-33 in the seventh season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) in the match played at Tyagraj Sports Complex. Vikas Kandola secured 11 points in the match for Haryana Steelers. Apart from this, he also completed his 300 Red Points in PKL. Vikas also completed his 10th Super-10 in PKL. This is Haryana’s sixth win and now she has reached fifth place in the points table with 31 points. Kandola gave the Haryana Steelers a good start in the first minute of the match through a brilliant raid.
Vinay also supported Kandola well during this period and the Haryana Steelers took a 3-point lead early in the match. The Bengal Warriors, however, then gained points through some crucial reds and tackles to take a 4-point lead into the first 10 minutes of the match, taking the score to 14-10. Kandola and Vinay kept the Haryana Steelers in the match through some of their brilliant red points. Vikas Kale of Haryana Steelers tackled Maninder Singh in the 17th minute and Kandola took two red points to give the Haryana Steelers an 18-17 lead before half time was over.
At the start of the second half, Kandola dismissed the Bengal Warriors in the 21st minute to take a lead by 22-18. After this Chand Singh gave good support to Kandola and Haryana Steelers took the lead of 5-points and their score was 23-18. Ravi Kumar’s tackle point in the 35th minute of the match and the super tackle of captain Dharmaraj Cheralthan lead by 31-28 and they won by 36-33.
