CM Fadnavis will resume his ‘Mahajandesh Yatra’ from next week

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will resume his Maha Mandesh Yatra from next week. He stopped the yatra after flooding in some parts of the state. A BJP official gave this information on Wednesday. Maharashtra assembly elections are expected in September-October this year. CM Fadnavis started this journey from Amravati in Vidarbha region on 1st August to reach the general public. But after the floods in some parts of the state, he halted his visit on 6th August due to opposition criticisms. BJP leader Sujit Singh Thakur is in charge of the Yatra event.
Sujit Singh Thakur said, the Chief Minister will resume his campaign from 21st August. Sujit Singh Thakur said that the first leg of the yatra was to be completed on 9th August via Vidarbha region and Nandurbar in North Maharashtra. Now Kolhapur, Pune, Sangli and Satara have been excluded from the campaign in the new plan.
He said that according to the earlier plan, the second phase of the program was to start from 17th August, which will now start from 21st August. The Chief Minister had earlier said that the purpose of the Mahajandesh Yatra is to tell the people of the state what the BJP-led government has done in five years. Let me tell you that in 2014, BJP and Shiv Sena fought separate assembly elections, breaking the alliance. However, the BJP formed the government with the support of the Shiv Sena after the results. This time the two are preparing to contest elections under the alliance.
