In response to an advance bail petition filed by Ratul Puri, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) said this in response to the petition. Ratul Puri got money from both intermediaries in the Augusta Westland Deal. In its reply to the Special Investigation Bureau (CBI) Special Judge Arvind Kumar, the agency said that the investigation revealed that Ratan Puri has received money from both the intermediaries – Interstellar Technology and Christian Mitchell.
ED alleged that Puri was related to Sushan Mohan Gupta. ED said that it has been detected by entries in the diary of Succin Mohan Gupta. The agency further alleged that Puri, despite claiming that he did not affect the witnesses, was in touch with Rajiv Saxena, who was witness to the accused. While rejecting claims that Puri had given him permission to lunch and a brief meeting, the ED claimed that no such permission was given to him.
