A minibus skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting into death of 34 passengers.
Reports said that an overloaded minibus (registration number JK 17 6787) fell into a deep gorge in Keshwan area of the mountanious district.
DDC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana confirmed that 20 bodies have been shifted to a hospital. However, local sources confirmed the death of 34 passengers.
The accident, according to officials, took place when the minibus was heading towards Kishtwar from Keshwan.
Locals, police and the district administration have launched a rescue operation, they said.
