A MoU was signed between Gujarat Government and J.S.W Energy Limited (Jindal Group) at Vaanod near Dasada in Surendranagar in the presence of the Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani. This MoU was signed to promote the production of battery operated vehicles in the state along with the production of electrical battery, storage solutions and charging infrastructure. The approximate cost of the project is worth Rs. 4000 crores which will provide employment opportunities to over 6000 local people. The state government has agreed on giving the necessary permissions, clearance certificates from various departments for this project. Chief Secretary Dr. J.N Singh, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. K. Kailashnathan, Principal Secretary Mr. M.K Das and C.E.O of J.S.W Energy Limited (Jindal Group) were present.
