Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Monday that the Sangh has been targeted for the last 90 years. He said that there is no need to worry because society is one and always will be. Bhagwat also said that he is not a ‘political person’. Bhagwat said this after casting his vote in Nagpur during the voting for the Maharashtra assembly elections on Monday. Media personnel questioned him about the target being targeted at the Sangh over the issue of demanding Bharat Ratna for Hindutva ideologue VD Savarkar.
Bhagwat responded by saying that we have been targeted for the last 90 years. Therefore, there is no need to worry because society is one and always will be one. This is politics and it is all part of it. But society is one and always will be one. In response to the question of what will be the results of the assembly elections in Maharashtra, the Sangh chief said that I do not consider myself a political person.
After three days the results will come and then everyone will know about it. On this occasion, Bhagwat also appealed people to vote as much as possible. He said that it is the responsibility of the citizens to elect a people’s representative for themselves. He said that we insist on hundred percent voting. Vote on issues and not look at a particular person or environment.
